MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The West Memphis School Board approved a revised grade-level realignment plan Thursday, Sept. 18.
Under the West Memphis School District's new plan, ninth-grade students will transition to the city's high school, the Academies of West Memphis, and sixth-grade students will now be considered middle school students. Ninth graders will reclassify during the fall of 2026, while sixth-grade students will transition to area middle schools before the fall of 2027.
