RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- One person is dead, and multiple others were injured in a crash on Friday evening in Raleigh.
Police said officers responded to a crash at the intersection of Trailwood Drive and Tryon Road just after 8:30 p.m.
According to investigators, the Kia Forte was traveling east on Tryon Road and had a green light for its direction. The Honda Accord was traveling west on Tryon Road and was making an unprotected U-turn at the Trailwood Drive and did not yield to the Kia.
Authorities said Lina Fernanda Ramos Velasco, 39, a passenger in the Honda, died from her injuries.
The drivers of both vehicles and all other passengers were taken to the hospital for what police said were non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said no charges have been filed.
