Led by its defense, which pitched a second-half shutout, the Richmond football team rallied to upset Armada 24-17 at Doc Orv Krause Field on Friday, Sept. 19.
Junior quarterback Dominic Bonnetti rushed for two touchdowns — one of which was the go-ahead score with 45 seconds left — for the Blue Devils, who improved to 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the BWAC.
Senior quarterback Nolan Roose threw one touchdown pass for the Tigers (3-1, 2-1).
With the victory, Richmond grabbed its first win over Armada since 2019 and snapped a seven-game losing streak in the series.
