MIDDLETOWN — Before Brittin Poffenbarger and Nate Borawski could produce the winning touchdown pass for Middletown High in the final minutes Friday night, senior Ryan McLister had to pick up an important first down.

On third-and-7 from the Oakdale 30-yard line, McLister was supposed to take the handoff and then hand it off to Borawski on a reverse. There were a little more than three minutes left in the game.
