HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - A new mural in downtown Holyoke is not only adding a splash of color, but also holds a deeper meaning.
Popular “Cruise for Critters” event returning to Monson
This vibrant flower mural on Dwight Street created by the non-profit public art organization, Color Collaborative in partnership with the Holyoke Children's Museum was unveiled during a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Through an art therapy activity at the children's museum, youth were able to express their visions of joy and belonging which were then incorporated into the final design of the mural. It was part of an intiative called "Imagined Worlds" that aims to raise awareness and start conversations about mental health and well-being.
