WOODS CROSS, Utah – Big plays helped Woods Cross overcome upset-minded Bountiful in a 28-14 Wildcats win.

The Woods Cross Wildcats (4-2) and Bountiful Redhawks (2-4) opened Region 6 play on Friday, September 19.

The two programs combined for 38 penalties, equaling the UHSAA record. They combined for 351 penalty yards.

First Quarter

Bountiful won the toss, opting to defer possession until the second half. Woods Cross made minimal progress on its first drive before giving the football to Bountiful.
