Five weeks into the season, Male finally debuted its new turf. The celebration was short-lived once the Rocks were rolling; there was no stopping top-ranked Trinity.
The 46-0 win was Trinity's first road win over Male since 2017, snapping a five-game losing streak at Maxwell Stadium.
"Tonight was a really big one because of the field, and we knew that," Trinity head coach Jay Cobb said. "I've been asking the guys for three weeks to finish. We had the lead at Moeller, let it go in the second half, had the big lead at Carmel and couldn't put them away the way we needed to, and had the lead tonight and finally put them away and did what we needed to do."
