MADISON (WKOW) -- Public Health Madison & Dane County confirms there are two more cases of West Nile virus in Dane County.

Officials say that brings the county's total to three this year.

According to data on Wisconsin Department of Health Services, all three people have gone to the hospital.

Their tracker shows Wisconsin is now at 13 human cases, with 12 of those people being hospitalized.

PHMDC says West Nile usually peaks around this time, and remind you to protect yourself with bug spray outdoors and long sleeved-shirts and pants.
