PISCATAWAY, N.J. — Iowa managed a 38-28 win over Rutgers in SHI Stadium in Piscataway, New Jersey on Friday night to open Big Ten play on the right foot.

The Hawkeyes (3-1, 1-0 Big Ten) racked up 346 yards of total offense, including 186 passing yards, got another return touchdown from return man extraordinaire Kaden Wetjen and came up with their first defensive takeaway in the win. It was also Iowa’s fifth straight win over Rutgers (3-1, 0-1 Big Ten).
