WENTZVILLE — North Point needed a big foot and a short memory Friday.
Thankfully for the Grizzlies, they had both in a 51-48 win in a nonconference football game against visiting Liberty in a battle of Wentzville School District rivals.
Landon Manco’s 31-yard field goal with 12 seconds left was the difference.
“It was crazy,” Manco said. “I don't remember anything. I just remember kicking it, looking up, seeing it go through the uprights, celebrating with my teammates.”
Manco’s boot wouldn’t have been possible without North Point quarterback Ta’Vren Broner-Williams’ next-play mentality.
