CPAC Australia co-founder Andrew Cooper has told the Brisbane gathering of conservatives that the time has come to “unite” and “act” to take back the country.
“Originally, when we started CPAC . . . it was to engage, to get together, to talk things through, to work things out, and not just for one party,” Mr Cooper said.
He said the conference was designed to be a broad forum for conservatives across the political spectrum, arguing that unity would be key to reviving the movement.
“I wanted this to be a great gathering of all the conservatives, and not do the in-fighting, not squabble over scraps, but form a vision where we say, you know, one day we’ll be back in government, we’ll take back this country,” he said.
