BROWNSBURG – Proof of concept is a dangerous thing.
For years, Brownsburg looked like a football program that might be on the cusp of breaking through and winning at the highest levels of Class 6A. Now that it has – by winning a state last year – well, look out.
Just look around Friday night at Brownsburg’s Roark Stadium. There was not a seat to be had on the home side of the bleachers on homecoming in front of a crowd of 5,000 fans. On the field, the top-ranked Bulldogs gave them plenty to cheer about in a 42-14 victory over No. 7 Fishers in a game that was played with a running clock from the middle of the third quarter to the finish.
