MURPHY – The Plano East and Plano West football team’s offense appeared to be revving up for a second-half shootout on Friday, but the Wolves’ defense and special teams closed the show and continued the program’s resurgent season.
Holding a one-score lead at the time, West returned two fumbles for touchdowns over the final quarter-and-change – one on defense and another on special teams – to distance from East for a 42-32 victory from Kimbrough Stadium and remain unbeaten on the year at 3-0 overall and 2-0 in District 6-6A.
