The Pueblo East Eagles hosted the Northfield Nighthawks on Friday, Sept. 19, and were looking to get back on track and in the win column.

After a last-second loss to Pueblo South in the Cannon Game, the Eagles came out ready to show that they can compete amongst the top teams in the state.

The game started off close as both teams scored in the first half, but Northfield had the lead going into the half; however, the Eagles were not about to go down without a fight.

In the second half, the Eagles held the Nighthawks scoreless but were also not able to come up with any offense of their own. In the end, Pueblo East had too many missed opportunities and lost to Northfield 27-14.
