COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - The eighth-ranked A&M Consolidated Tigers (3-1) beat the College Station Cougars (0-4) 38-21 on Friday night. Here is a rapid reaction:

Why did A&M Consol win? With a 21-7 halftime lead, the Tigers were able to keep momentum moving forward in the second half to secure their victory over the Cougars. Plus, A&M Consol’s defense was able to come in clutch in the last two quarters to stop College Station’s scoring.

Standout performance: Tiger’s running back, Ja’Marlon Mooring led the team in rushing yards. Mooring picked up 107 yards on 12 carries in this win over the Cougars.
