The Southwood Cowboys football program grabbed their first win since 2019 in their first game of the 2025 season.

Week two of the 2025 season will go down in history for the Southwood Cowboys. Why? Well, in order to tell that story, we have to go back way back to November 1, 2019. The Cowboys had just won their second game of that season against Parkway. It would be their last for 2,142 days.

The numbers haven't been kind to Southwood since then. They've had more head coaches than we've had presidents. Post Malone's "Circles" came out, almost foreshadowing the circles Southwood ran-in trying to squeak out a win, and their current seniors were in the sixth grade.
