NEW DELHI, Sept 20: Several schools in the national capital received bomb threats on Saturday morning, prompting mass evacuations and swift deployment of police and bomb disposal squads, officials said. The schools targeted included Delhi Public School (DPS) Dwarka, Krishna Model Public School, and Sarvodaya Vidyalaya. Students and staff were evacuated as precautionary measures while search operations were launched.

“No suspicious object has been found so far,” a senior police officer said, adding that checks were ongoing at the affected campuses.

At Sarvodaya Vidyalaya in south Delhi, the threat was declared a hoax after thorough verification by police and the Delhi Fire Service (DFS). Searches were continuing at other schools till last reports. (Agencies)
