SWALEDALE, Iowa - A major drug trafficking investigation leads to three arrests Friday evening in Cerro Gordo County.

Sheriff's deputies and Iowa State Patrol troopers say around 7:22 pm they stopped a vehicle on Interstate 35 near mile marker 187. The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff's Office says a search of the vehicle discovered about eight pounds of methamphetamine, about an ounce of cocaine, and other small amounts of meth and marijuana.

The driver of the vehcle, Bruce Wayne Sogard, 68 of Mason City, was arrested for possesion of meth with intent to deliver, possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, and driving under suspension.
