JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Vaccine advisers to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have been meeting the last two days and the shots recommended for your kids could change.

“In the last year or two, I have so many parents who are questioning the vaccine schedule, completely refusing vaccines, and many are choosing to do their own schedule to get the vaccines in,” explained Dr. Patricia Tibbs, President of the Mississippi Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Now, an advisory committee is putting the current schedule under the microscope with two main points of discussion.

The first topic is the administration of the MMRV vaccine, a combination vaccination against measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella.
