LAWSON, Mo - Three teenaged girls from Lawson were injured in a two-vehicle accident in Clinton County this morning.
The accident occurred just before 7:45 at the intersection of Route PP and U.S. Highway 69, three miles north of Lawson. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, an SUV driven by a 17-year-old Lawson girl was southbound while a pickup truck driven by a 28-year-old Lawson man was northbound on Highway 69. The pickup attempted to turn left onto Route PP when he collided head-on with the SUV.
The driver of the SUV and two 15-year-old passengers suffered serious injuries in the accident. All three are being treated at Kansas City area hospitals. The pickup truck driver was uninjured in the accident.
