RAY COUNTY — A former Ray County employee has filed a lawsuit against the county in which Prosecuting Attorney Camille Johnston is accused of having a relationship with the defendant in a domestic assault case.
Online court records say attorneys representing Joslynn Marco, a former victim advocate for the prosecutor's office, filed the suit claiming her termination in February 2025 was out of retaliation for reporting Johnston's alleged behavior on Sept. 18.
The aforementioned domestic assault case was first filed on or around December 2023. The victim ultimately asked for the case to be dropped. According to petition the defendant allegedly had flowers delivered to the prosecuting attorney's office and asked Johnston to dinner.
