TRANSYLVANIA COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) - The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported an earthquake in Transylvania County early Saturday.

Officials said the 1.7-magnitude quake struck at a depth of zero kilometers 7.9 miles west of Rosman, NC and 29.9 miles northwest of Easley, SC at 12:46 a.m.
