A man has been rushed to hospital after a pack of 'Bullies and Staffys' attacked him and his Labrador in Cambuslang.

Emergency services were called to Bogleshole Road at around 5.05pm on Friday, September 19, following reports of a 'group of dogs setting upon a man and his dog'. Police say a 65-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment and his dog was taken to a veterinary practice.

Officers have since arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with the incident. An eyewitness told Glasgow Live that five dogs who 'attacked' the man were 'Bullies and Staffys'.
