HOUSTON (CW39) — Houston police said Saturday, another body has been discovered in local waters, marking the fifth case this week.

Houston Police said that a paddler saw a male body floating in Buffalo Bayou around 8:20 a.m. Saturday morning and immediately called authorities.

This latest discovery adds to a recent similar cases across Houston. Police confirmed all five incidents to CW39’s Daryl Matthews.

The identity of the latest victim and the cause of death remain under investigation by HPD and the Medical Examiner.
