Former Vice President Mike Pence is among the latest to weigh in on Jimmy Kimmel's indefinite suspension, telling The Atlantic that the comedian's comments were "crass."

Kimmel is a national example of the resignations and firings in the wake of Charlie Kirk's assassination, a phenomenon very much at play in Indiana, where teachers and a state employee are no longer employed after criticizing Kirk or celebrating his death.

Kimmel did not celebrate Kirk's death but instead took aim at the reaction from the "MAGA gang," joking that they were “desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them." In response to criticism, ABC announced it would pull "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" from the air.
