What we learned from Week 5 of high school football in SW Indiana

EVANSVILLE — Speaking on behalf of everyone in Southwestern Indiana, no more Friday nights like this one please.

What should have been a normal week turned into a slog. A surprise weather system produced two-plus hours of lightning delays for every game in Evansville. I didn't leave Reitz Bowl until 11:30 p.m. CT – that's before writing a single word on the game. Most matchups north of Interstate 64 were spared, avoiding a completely tedious evening.
