Hundreds of veterans marched along the streets in Glastonbury on Saturday to raise awareness about suicide prevention.

This was the 13 th year the group of veterans got together for the Hike to Remember, which is 22 kilometers long.
“I was injured in 2010 by an IED in Afghanistan,” event organizer Manny Jimenez said. “I went through my own rehab, and I had a great support system at home.”
Jimenez said not all veterans have the support he did.
According to 2022 data from the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, on average 17.6 veterans commit suicide each day.
