Police are investigating a shooting in Hartford on Saturday afternoon.

Around 1:33 p.m. on Saturday, officers were dispatched to the area of 481 Wethersfield Ave. for a report of a man suffering from a gunshot wound, according to Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police Department .

Arriving officers located a man in his 20s who was alert and conscious at the scene before he was transported to an area hospital for treatment, Boisvert said.

The Hartford Police Department’s Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions are actively investigating the incident.
