NEW ORLEANS —

The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a shooting in Algiers.

The shooting happened at the intersection of Nunez and Newton Streets just before 1:10 p.m. Advertisement

According to police, three people were shot. One person was found at the scene with a gunshot wound and two people were transported to a hospital on their own.

No other information has been provided at this time.
