WHEN Stephen Fellenberg threw a cup of tea and coat hangers at his victim, she snapped and dialled 000, a court has been told.

Fellenberg, 63, had hit his victim's head with the hangers and chest with the cup, police claimed in Armidale Local Court.

On Monday, September 15, Fellenberg sat with his head bowed in court.

He pleaded guilty to common assault.

According to a statement tendered to court, police claimed the incident happened about 5.30pm on Friday, July 25.

"The victim was on her mobile phone talking to her mother," police claimed.

"[Fellenberg] asked the victim to close the door because it was cold; however, the victim did not hear, and as a result, he became enraged and threw a cup of tea at the victim."
