KENNETT, Mo. (WSIL) -- The Kennett Fire Department responded to a structure fire on the 300 block of Varner Street on the morning of September 20.

When firefighters arrived, the residence was fully engulfed in flames.

Fire official said five people were found outside the home and received medical treatment on the scene before they were all transported to out-of-state hospitals for treatment of serious injuries.

The Kennett Fire Department, alongside the Missouri Fire Marshal's Office, is investigating the cause of the fire.
