ORONO -- The Orono Red Riots hosted the Hermon Hawks Saturday morning at Orono High School.

In the first quarter, a play by Hawks goalkeeper Breslyn Boyd initially looks to be a save, but she was ultimately called for a penalty which awarded Orono a penalty stroke shot.

On the attempt, Carmen Miller's shot hit off the stick of Boyd into the goal to give the Red Riots a 1-0 lead.

Later in the first, the Hawks would see their chance to tie the game when Eleina Walker broke free from the defense. But it was Orono's Madison Sinclair stepping out of goal and knocking the shot wide of the net, ensuring the score remained 1-0.
