WALHALLA, S.C. — A South Carolina state trooper has been fired following his arrest in connection with an investigation into allegations of unlawful conduct toward a child.
The South Carolina Department of Public Safety confirmed that it had terminated Joshua E. Latimer's employment with the highway patrol on Friday, following his arrest by state agents.
South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) warrants allege that 30-year-old Latimer and 24-year-old Destiny Shay Dionne were arrested and charged with two counts each of unlawful conduct toward a child on Friday, following an investigation requested by the Oconee County Sheriff's Office.
