The Celebrity Traitors launch date has officially been confirmed as the BBC revealed a major change tothe regular series is coming.

Presented by Claudia Winkleman , the series is set in a castle in the Scottish Highlands and sees contestants appointed traitors and faithfuls.

With the faithful having no idea who the traitors are, a vote is held at the end of each episode to vote off the person they are most suspicious of.

No player is safe from being eliminated, unless they have a shield, with the traitors ‘murdering’ a contestant each night, or in some cases even attempting to recruit a faithful.

Back in January, the third season of The Traitors produced some new household names, including Alexander Dragonetti, Linda Rands and Francesca Rowan-Plowden.
