CORALVILLE, Iowa (KCRG) - Some people say a smile is the best accessory - but the health of that smile is even more precious.

That’s why hundreds lined up outside the Hyatt Hotel in Coralville for Iowa Mission of Mercy’s free dental clinic on Friday and Saturday.

“My goal is to have a bunch of teeth pulled. Is it going to suck for a few days? Absolutely. Am I going to be happier in the end? Absolutely,” Colin Brown, who received free care, said.

Brown waited over two hours to be seen by a dentist.

But he said it was worth sacrificing his time.

“No way I could afford doing it all in one shot, paying it out of pocket or even with insurance. That doesn’t always cover all of it,” Brown said.
