JEFFERSON COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) - The North Florida Wildlife Center celebrated its 5th anniversary with a new lemur habitat and more on Saturday.

The celebration was called “Wild & Thriving” as hundreds of guests poured in for the anniversary.

There were animal encounters, face painting, local vendors, special presentations and a ribbon cutting for a second lemur habitat.

Executive Director Ryan Reines said the celebration was about connection.

“Five years ago, this was just a dream. Today, it’s a thriving center for both the community and wildlife - a place where people can connect, be inspired, and know they’re part of something bigger. The support we saw today shows that together, we can create a lasting legacy,” Reines said.
