WASHINGTON — A 61-year-old woman was struck and killed by a vehicle in Columbia Heights on Saturday morning.
Police did not indicate whether anyone would be charged in connection with the death of Rosa Cabezas of Southeast D.C. after the incident, but they did note that the driver remained at the scene.
They say the woman was crossing 13th Street when a driver turning from Harvard Street struck her.
Emergency personnel also responded to the scene, but lifesaving efforts failed.
Police are still investigating the incident.
