CARMEL, Ind. — Not a rally. Not a protest, but a festival.

Voices4Democracy celebrated, what they call the foundation of the United States, the Constitution, in its inaugural Democracy Festival in Carmel on Saturday.

"We wanted to offer a positive response to the many things that are shaking up our democracy right now," Voices4Democracy co-founder Sharon Boller said.

Boller, along with a few others Hamilton Country residents, started the group in July. They want to provide a safe, non-partisan space where people can bring their concerns.

"A festival is a celebration and we need to celebrate our democracy it should be something that we want to support and protect," Boller said.
