LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — National Drive Electric Month kicked off on Sept. 12, and events across the country are underway.

On Saturday, Evolve KY hosted its annual event at Fritz Farm, showing off several cars and bringing in car enthusiasts from around the Commonwealth.

Folks got the chance to take a ride in the various vehicles on Saturday, including driving some of them.

Publicity Chair Michael Proctor said it's a good way to show off all of the benefits of going electric.

"We're able to answer questions from an owner's perspective, which might be a little different than what, perspective you get from a dealer. So, we're happy to answer questions," Proctor explained.

He said that with tax incentives going away for electric vehicles, some people interested might be discouraged.
