EUGENE, Ore. - Students at Marist Catholic High School conducted a protest in response to the dismissal of a former teacher, Jack Kiesewetter.

Despite plans for a walkout, students kept their demonstration on school property.

An anonymous student reported that around 50 students participated in the protest. The demonstration was in support of Kiesewetter, who was let go after making comments about the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Initially, it was believed that Kiesewetter's wife, Jenny, had resigned in support of her husband. However, it has been reported that she continues to teach at the school.
