An injured bicyclist lit a fire along Interstate 25 early Saturday in an attempt to draw the attention of authorities — this after he was hit by an alleged drunken driver who was fleeing Santa Fe police.

Jorge Suarez Huerta, 24, is charged with aggravated DWI, aggravated fleeing, reckless driving, great bodily harm by vehicle and leaving the scene of a crash. He has been booked into the Santa Fe County Detention Center. It is unclear if Suarez Huerta has an attorney.
