LIVE OAK — The Grey Bears campus in Live Oak was already packed with hundreds of community members of all ages on a warm and sunny Saturday just before noon, to enjoy groovy tunes, activities, free food and each other’s company at the nonprofit’s 52nd annual Harvest Festival.

“We’ve got an excellent turnout this year,” said Grey Bears Executive Director Jennifer Merchant. “It’s just so heartwarming to see people coming to celebrate seniors and to celebrate senior health and ensuring that all seniors get nutrition in our community.”

Merchant mentioned that more than 50 volunteers made this year’s Harvest Festival possible, from chopping vegetables for the many salads to grilling innumerable chicken legs and thighs, handing out fresh produce and running the tie-dye station, among other act
