ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) — Students and community members gathered at Elmira College on Saturday, September 20, for the annual Octagon Fair. The 58th annual event took place right in the heart of campus in Flagpole Plaza.
"It's like an opportunity for everybody in the community to gather, for local businesses to sell, and for people to get in touch with the community a bit more," said Ashika, an Elmira College student.
The sidewalks were lined with more than 80 local vendors, community groups, and college clubs. Part of the family weekend, the Octagon Fair is meant to bring together people from the college and the community. Students at the event said they had a good time and were enjoying a nice day with their friends.
