CLERMONT, Ky. —
A buzz filled the air Saturday afternoon as bug lovers made their way to Bernheim for the annual bug celebration.
BugFest is a family-friendly festival for those who want to learn about insects and their relatives.
The festival offered bug-based activities, bug-themed crafts, insect safaris, an insect zoo and a costume parade for kids donning their best pair of wings.
Several special guests also made an appearance, including the Idlewild Butterfly Farm, an entomologist from the University of Kentucky, and the Foundation for Ohio River Education.
There was also a plant sale full of native pollinator plants to support Kentucky’s insect population.
