The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Omaha Field Division is hosting its fourth annual Family Summit with a focus on the impact of drugs on tribal communities.
Speakers from the DEA, community organizations, council members, and tribal law enforcement officials will lead the event. The summit is Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the University of Nebraska Omaha Thompson Alumni Center.
Assistant Special Agent of the DEA Omaha Division Dustin Gillespie said the DEA's "One Pill Can Kill" campaign was started to "raise awareness in our community about the dangers of fentanyl."
