WAXAHACHIE, Texas — Waxahachie pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the Texas high school football season Friday night, edging defending Class 6A Division I state runner-up Duncanville 28-27 in a District 11-6A matchup Friday night.
The Indians (3-0, 1-0) snapped Duncanville’s 11-game regular-season winning streak and beat the Panthers in their first district matchup of the year. The game came down to the final minutes, with Waxahachie’s defense holding strong after Duncanville failed to convert on a potential game-winning drive.
