SANPETE COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — One person is dead after a rollover involving an off-road vehicle in Sanpete County on Saturday.

The Utah Department of Natural Resources says in a press release that the accident occurred in the Millers Flat area around 12:30 p.m. The sole occupant of the OHV was reportedly not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

The victim has been identified as a 43-year-old male from Davis County. Both Sanpete County and the Emery County Sheriff's Office responded to the incident.

Utah DNR and the Division of Outdoor Recreation urge people to follow these safety tips while riding on an OHV: • Wear a DOT approved helmet • Know the capabilities of your OHV • Research the trail system before riding
