SPANISH FORK, Utah (ABC4) — One juvenile was taken to the hospital after being stabbed during an altercation outside of a homecoming dance at Maple Mountain High School on Saturday.
Spanish Fork Police says they were dispatched to Maple Mountain High School around 9:20 p.m. on a report of a stabbing. Police say an altercation between juveniles took place in a parking lot east of the school where the dance was being held.
Officers from Spanish Fork Police along with Spanish Fork Fire & EMS arrived to find a 17-year-old male who had been stabbed in the leg by another juvenile. The victim was treated on scene and transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The 16-year-old juvenile suspect fled the scene and was located shortly after by officers, and was taken into custo
