Great Smoky Mountains National Park is the most-visited national park in the U.S., and for good reason. Spanning multiple states and offering a variety of scenic drives, unique hikes, and perfect wildlife watching vistas, the Great Smoky Mountains have a little bit of everything.

With over 12 million visitors in 2024 alone, some bad behavior is bound to arise. "Tourons" are nothing new in national parks. Banff National Park in Canada recently arrested two campers after a wolf got into food they left out . Meanwhile, tourists in Yellowstone have gotten their own touron page on Instagram to highlight their antics, such as teetering on the edge of boiling water for social media pictures and, yes, trying to pet the "fluffy cows."
