Rebels’ new quarterback proves he’s ready for the spotlight
Trinidad Chambliss wasn’t supposed to be Ole Miss’s starting quarterback this soon. But with Austin Simmons still working back from a serious ankle injury, the Rebels turned to the redshirt sophomore, and he’s delivered in a big way. Saturday against Tulane, Chambliss showed why he may keep the job for good.
Chambliss threw for two touchdowns and ran for 112 yards, powering No. 13 Ole Miss to a commanding 45-10 win. His 307 passing yards came on just 27 attempts, a balance of efficiency and aggression that stretched Tulane’s defense thin.
